The government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme pays £7,500 towards an air source heat pump. If your home is heated by oil or LPG and has no mains gas connection, you can claim an extra £1,500, taking it to £9,000.

You do not apply, and you do not wait for the money. As an MCS certified installer we apply to Ofgem on your behalf, and the grant is taken straight off your quotation. You only ever pay the balance.

The extra £1,500 is only available until March 2027.

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme, explained simply

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a government grant that cuts the cost of replacing a fossil fuel heating system with a heat pump. It is not a loan and there is nothing to pay back.

What you could get

Air source heat pump, off the gas grid - Up to £9,000

The higher amount applies if your property is heated by oil or LPG and has no mains gas connection. This uplift runs until March 2027.

Whether you qualify

You will usually be eligible if:

• You own your home, or you are a small business
• Your property currently has a fossil fuel heating system, such as a gas, oil or LPG boiler, or electric heating without a heat pump
• The work is carried out by an MCS certified installer
